Why Does This Error Occur?
- An Active Account Exists
- Linked Email Address
- Policy Violation
- Family Sharing or Shared Devices
- Blogger Invite Author
- Problem Comes when creating an Adsense account for a family member.
Check for an Existing AdSense Account
When you send your YouTube or blog to Adsense for review, if you already have an Adsense account, you will get an error as shown in the photo below.
Solution: An Active Account Exists
- If you use the same personal and billing information, Google will notify you that you already have an account if you try to create a new account.
- Using the same phone to authenticate your Gmail account, even if it is not linked as a recovery option.
- If your emails are linked in some way, Google will see that you already have another account
- If multiple accounts are created from the same IP address, such as a shared VPS/RDP or VPN, all accounts are at risk of being canceled.
You can avoid this by avoiding any relationship between Gmail accounts and using the same billing address, but you must use the information of your brother, father, or someone you trust in the new account.
If you're unsure about your account status, use the AdSense account recovery tool. It helps you find an existing account associated with your email address.
Linked Email Address
If your emails are linked in some way, Google will see that you already have another account
- 1. Using the first email as a recovery email for the second email.
Solution: Linked Email Address
If you have two Gmail accounts in the same mobile, in which the first Gmail account has already been created and YouTube or Blogger and monetized in it or not, and then you have entered another Gmail to recover the first Gmail and you create an account in the second Gmail, you will still get this error, so you have to do Avoid this.
Policy Violation
This is a problem that has no solution. If you have already used an AdSense account in which your AdSense account has been disabled due to the problem of invite clicks or any policy violation, then in such a case, no matter how many times you change your name or create an AdSense account by changing any other Gmail, your AdSense account will not be created, then there is no solution for that.
Related Solution: Policy Violation
If your account has been disabled due to policy violation, you can create an AdSense account in the name of your family member.
Family Sharing or Shared Devices
If you are using shared devices or accounts, someone in your family may have already created an AdSense account using shared details (e.g., address or payment method).
Ask them to confirm whether they have an account and ensure only one person from the household uses the shared details to avoid conflicts.
Solution: Family Sharing or Shared Devices
- If any of your family members has an Adsense account or one created in your name or created by mistake, you can ask or take it from them.
- If someone else in your family has an AdSense account and you have shared your Gmail ID with them, then this problem can occur even if that Gmail ID is your login on their mobile, so log out from the other device.
- If there is an account for a member in your family, there may be a reason that you are getting the same address, so you can enter the wrong address for now and then you can change the address again.
Blogger Invited Author
This is an incident of my friend in which this problem occurred when my friend had to get AdSense approval on his Blogger website.
I had made my friend the author, or admin, of his blog to help him with his blog.
I already had an Adsense account in which my blog was monetized, so my friend got an Adsense error because I was the author or admin on his blogger.
Solution: Blogger Invited Author
- I left my friend's blogger as an admin or author. Then my friend sent his blog to Adsense for review, and immediately my friend got Adsense approval on Blogger.
- Once this problem is gone, you can make your friend an admin or author again.
1.Problem Comes when creating an Adsense account for a family member.
I have faced this problem. I had this problem myself. How did you solve this? Step by step is described below.
I already had one Adsense account and I needed another Adsense account. So I used my wife's email ID to create an Adsense account.
It said that I had put my Gmail ID in it to recover my wife's Gmail ID.
- Mistake: My Gmail ID which had Adsense approval was entered in the recovery of my wife's Gmail ID.
- Mistake: I had invited myself to my wife's blog on my other email ID as Ortho, in which I was the admin. And I had AdSense approval in my email ID.
- Mistake: And since we are husband and wife, both of our addresses are the same.
First, I removed my account recovery email from my wife's email, but I still got an error. Then, I removed my wife's blogger invite author from my wife's blog, but I still had the problem. Then, I changed the address in my wife's AdSense account, but I still got the problem.
Then when I wrote the following message in reply to the Google Adsense email, my problem was solved.

Dear Google AdSense Team,
I am writing this email to clarify my situation with you. I am facing an issue while trying to open a new AdSense account for my wife.
1. My first AdSense account is in my Father Name( Your name 1)
, and I am using it for my blog.

3. Her Gmail ID, address and payment information are all completely different from my account.
When she applies for the new account, she gets an error message of "you already have an AdSense Account", which I have re-tested to understand.
I request you to please explain this situation and guide me on how to proceed to make it possible for my wife to open a new account. If any further information or documents are required, please let me know.
